CAJON PASS, CA (Pain In The Pass) >> A hit-and-run accident on the northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass about 2 miles after Kenwood Ave. (Blue Cut Area) Saturday night at 10:29pm October 19.
California Highway Patrol and multiple San Bernardino County Fire Department units responded to the incident. From the CHP traffic log said, the vehicles involved was a black unknown vehicle was speeding and weaving in & out of lanes causing the black Saturn to crash into the Red vehicle unknown make or model to lose control and sending the car about 300-400 feet down the embankment.
Several motorists stopped to render aid with flashlights to help pulling the victim out of the ravine.
A San Bernardino County Sheriff helicopter lit up the area to make sure everybody was out of the vehicle.
The driver with unknown injuries and was taken to San Bernardino Community Hospital.
The collision will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office.
CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
