FONTANA, CA (Pain In The Pass) >> Powerful Santa Ana winds knock over at least a total of 8 big rig semi’s and other vehicles pulling trailers from reports on the CHP traffic log. This is along the 15 Freeway in Fontana from the 210 freeway up to Glen Helen Parkway.

When California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department arrived they saw the first big rig on the northbound side of the 15 freeway at 9am October 30, 2019. The second one happen on the southbound side at 9:24am that called for a Sig Alert was issued for the 3 left lanes blocked due to the overturned big rig and clean up. There was one overturned big rig on the Duncan Canyon Road overpass.

As of 1pm there was a report of at least 8 vehicles overturned due to the high winds.

Santa Ana winds were gusting of up to 60 mph in this area.

Only one person was only injured as he was trap in his tractor.

Heavy duty tow truck had to move all the big rig semi-trucks to the side of the freeway. At this time it’s too windy to attempt to upright all of them.
