MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A fatal rollover crash happened Monday morning near Stateline.
A 45-year-old resident of Las Vegas Nevada woman was killed in a rollover accident on Northbound Interstate 15 Monday morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The CHP traffic log report states that Samantha Billy, died at the scene of the crash. It was reported about 1:17am Monday December 14, 2020.
Samantha was driving an Acura SUV northbound on Interstate 15 near the Yates Well Road exit in Mountain Pass. Her vehicle left the roadway onto the shoulder and rolled multiple times. The car came to a rest in a dry lakebed south of the Nevada State line, according to the California Highway Patrol.
When first responders arrived they found Samantha inside her vehicle, she was wearing her seatbelt. Despite life saving measures, they declared the her deceased at the scene.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office.
CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
