ONTARIO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A stolen car suspect had stopped on the northbound Interstate 15 and refused to exit the vehicle after a police chase from the city of Azusa.

The pursuit began just before 1pm. With Azusa police began pursuing a stolen Nissan Rogue. The suspect jump on eastbound 10 Freeway then went on northbound 15 freeway.

The suspect then stopped on the 15 freeway near 4th Street exit in Ontario. He went into a standoff mode on the freeway for over 30 minutes inside the vehicle. California Highway Patrol and Azusa Police Department went into negotiated with the suspect. Minutes after that, Azusa PD sent in a K-9 dog in.

The dog leaped in the driver window and latched on the suspect left arm. The suspect started to fight with the K-9. The officers eventually were able to get the suspect out of the vehicle, then he started to resist arrest with officers. Finally officers were able to take the suspect into custody.

Officers blocked traffic on the northbound 15 side between the 10 freeway and 4th Street for over 30 minutes. Traffic was jammed all the way down pass the 60 freeway.
