CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The pounding rain and snow that is sweeping through the Cajon Pass Monday morning/afternoon has left behind accidents, soaked and icy roads. Sending California Highway Patrol officers scrambling.

The CHP offices reported a busy morning and afternoon with most officers out responding to crashes and spinouts.

CHP will be doing escorts up and down the Pass. More rain and snow is expected through out the night.

If you are going up or down the Cajon Pass, make sure to slow down and leave enough room between vehicles.

If you’re heading to the mountains tonight or Tuesday bring your snow chains. Caltrans chain control is in effect on Hwy 2 into Wrightwood.

The strom should be out by 8-9pm. The Scattered rain/snow showers after.
