CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Winter is finally here, with a couple of good chances of rain and snow that are going to hit Southern California this week.
Now is the time to dig through your closet or vehicle to find your umbrella? You will need it!
With a big change in the weather pattern, with three storm systems are going to hit SoCal.
The 1st Storm will be cold but will have scattered rain and snow showers Friday night into Saturday evening. Rain total will be 1/4 of a inch, Cajon Pass may see a dusting of snow and Wrightwood may see 2 inches of snow. High Deserts will get gusty winds with a rain shower or two. Thunderstorm are possible in the afternoon. See map below.
The 2nd storm will be colder storm with rain and snow on Sunday night and Monday with mainly snow impacting the Cajon Pass and Highway 138. Rain total will be 1/2 of inch for the IE valley. The Cajon Pass the snow level will drop to 3,000 feet level that about where Highway 138 exit is. The snow level could go to 2,000 feet if the timing is right. Wrightwood may see 6 to 8 inches of snow. High Deserts will get gusty winds with rain/snow showers. See map below.
The 3rd storm will be a warmer storm with heavy moisture shaping up to be a big rain event for Wednesday night and Thursday. Heavy rain in the IE valley will be 1 to 5 inches of rain. Cajon Pass may see a dusting of snow and Wrightwood may see 2 to 6 inches of snow. High Deserts will get gusty winds with rain shower that can be heavy at time. See map below.
