BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The San Bernardino County coroner has identified the man who died in the Friday morning fatal crash on Interstate 15.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The crash happened Friday morning about 6:27am on February 26, 2021. The crash was reported on northbound Interstate 15 near the Halloran Summit Road exit, north of the city of Baker.
The vehicle description was a dually pickup truck, the make and model was not posted by the CHP traffic log. The pickup truck was report to have rear-ended a UPS semi trailer.
Despite life-saving rescue measures, firefighter officials said the driver was pronounced deceased at the scene. The San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Coroner Officer identified the driver as Siotame Manako, a 32-year-old resident of San Bernardino.
The Barstow office of the California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident.
