HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A pickup truck caught fire on northbound Interstate 15 Freeway in the Cajon Pass Saturday night.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a Chevrolet Silverado pulling a utility trailer with a Razor off-road vehicle on the trailer. The truck pulled off to the right shoulder on fire. About a mile from Cleghorn Road exit about 9:54pm on Saturday night April 17, 2021.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out.
Traffic was delayed for about 15 minutes and was backed up just after Kenwood Avenue.
Everybody did escape the truck before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene.
The cause of the pickup truck fire is unknown at this time.
