CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcycle driver was taken to the hospital Monday afternoon after a car hit his bike and then fled the scene.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. The accident was reported at about 4:06pm, Monday April 19, 2021, on southbound Interstate 15 just before Highway 138 exit.

The CHP traffic log stated traffic was slowing to a stop prior to the collision. For unknown reasons the motorcycle rider and a gray Nissan Sentra made contact. This caused the rider and his bike to fall into the center divider. Witness stated they followed the Nissan. The witness stated the Nissan continued down the 15 freeway with report of rear driver side damage to the vehicle. The Nissan eventfully stopped the car at a Del Taco on University Parkway off of the 215 freeway in San Bernardino. The CHP traffic log also stated she was unable to pull over when the crash occurred.

CHP said the motorcycle rider was taken to the hospital with a broken leg.
