VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on southbound Interstate 15 in the Victor Valley area Sunday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and Victorville Fire Department were getting calls of a black sedan on fire. The vehicle was located a mile after Stoddard Wells Road on the right shoulder. The car fire happened on April 25, 2021 about 2:59pm.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the middle lane and the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out and for the smoke blowing across the freeway.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
Traffic was backup for miles.
