HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A brush fire of 12 acres was knocked down Monday afternoon in south Hesperia.
The fire broke out about noon on Monday May 10, 2021, near Highway 173 and Las Flores Road, the San Bernardino County Fire Department said. A Cal fire helicopter was used to drop water on the brush fire, in addition to firefighters on the ground. No structures were threatened and the fire crews stopped its forward spread at 2 pm.
The crews will be at scene for at least two to three hours to create a barrier between the burned and unburned brush and to make sure all embers and hot spots are completely out.
The cause of the fire is under investigation, The brush fire dubbed the Flores Fire.
