ADELANTO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two person has died and two have been hospitalized with critical injuries after a crash involving two vehicles on Highway 395 Saturday afternoon.

The crash was reported about 2:24pm, Saturday May 29, 2021, on Hwy 395 at Holly/Adelanto Road. When San Bernardino County Sheriffs and San Bernardino County Firefighters were dispatched to a crash scene, they located a gold Toyota Camry with heavy front end damage and a white GMC Sierra pickup truck with heavy damage to the driver side

Firefighters were on scene and found a male driver of the pickup truck unresponsive. Shortly after they pronounced the driver deceased at the scene. Also they reported all the victims were in critical condition and called for two medical helicopters. Reported two people in the Toyota were trapped and required extrication, a child in the back seat. Two Reach Air Medical helicopters #13 and #43 landed at the scene. Reach #13 transported to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center and Reach #43 transported to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The child was transported by ground ambulance to Victor Valley Global Medical Center.

The driver of a GMC pick-up truck, has been ID as 65-year old male Slobodan Vasovic, 65, of Adelanto, pronounced deceased at the scene. The second person was a child that has been ID has 6 year-old boy Keitrick Alonzo Anthony Edwards, of San Bernardino, he was the rear passenger in the Toyota Camry pronounced deceased at 3:27pm.

Highway 395 in both directions was closed for several hours on Saturday afternoon between Cactus Road and Rancho Road for the crash investigation. The incident will be under investigation by the San Bernardino Sheriff Department says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
