CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An overturned semi on the northbound Interstate 15 issues a SIG ALERT Tuesday night.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of crash with a semi overturned at about 9:31pm Tuesday June 1, 2021. It occurred about two miles after Highway 138 exit.
The semi involved was reported to be a white semi hauling vehicle on a trailer. Debris from the semi was blocking all lanes at one point.
The semi driver was able to exit the cab with no injuries.
CHP issued a Sig Alert for the #4 and the #5 lanes for about an hour or so.
Witness Sandra Ventura-Alamilla said she was driving next to the big rig when the tire or something exploded. Sandra said the semi overturned toward her vehicle and a piece of large metal object flew and hit her bumper causing some damage.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
