FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Department of Transportation Caltrans will continue the new Pavement Rehabilitation Project on Interstate 15 in the city of Fontana on Friday night June 4 – Saturday June 5.
This roadwork project includes repaving the four lanes in both directions, repaving the on and off ramps, replace the bridge guardrails, and slab replacement in lanes.
Friday, June 4 – Saturday June 5 Both Northbound and Southbound side
• 10pm to 7am* The I-15 northbound and southbound will have 3 of 4 lanes closed for pavement work from Sierra Avenue to Glen Helen Parkway. One lane will remain open to traffic in both directions.
• Ramp Closures 10 pm to 7am.
o Northbound ramps closures is Sierra Avenue on ramp will be closed and Glen Helen Pkwy off ramp will be closed.
o Southbound ramp closures is Glen Helen Pkwy on ramp will be closed.
Plan ahead to avoid delays. Use alternate route. For maps and alternate routes below.
Northbound traffic use the 210 eastbound to the I-215 northbound.
Heading south from the Cajon Pass, use the I-15 to the I-215 south to the 210 westbound to avoid delays
and congestion.
The work schedule will be subject to change due to weather or construction-related issues. Always reduce your speed through the work zones.
*Lanes may open earlier if they finish. Caltrans expects to complete the project by the end of June 2021.
