NIPTON, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two people with major injuries in a solo vehicle rollover crash that sent the vehicle off the Interstate 15 near Stateline Sunday morning.

California Highway Patrol, Clark County Fire Department, and San Bernardino County Fire Department received calls for a single vehicle rollover crash. The vehicle was reported as a black Hyundai XG350 sedan that rolled-over multiple times. The vehicle came from the southbound lanes and landed on the northbound side of Interstate 15 shoulder.

The crash was reported on northbound side of Interstate 15 just before Nipton Road exit. It happened at about 11:14am Sunday, June 13, 2021. When CHP and firefighters responded to the scene, they located one person ejected from the vehicle with major injuries. A second person had major lacerations. Firefighters called and requested two medical helicopters to transport to a local hospital. The third person was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital with laceration injures.

One medical helicopter landed on the Interstate, Mercy Air #7 and Mercy #21 landed nearby to airlifted both patients to University Medical Center in Las Vegas. Both peoples condition were unknown at this. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.

CHP temporarily shut down northbound lanes for about 45 minutes for the helicopter to land and the cleanup. The vehicle also damaged about 60 feet of fence from report from the CHP traffic log.
