CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A tractor-trailer jackknifed on southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass late Tuesday morning, this snarling traffic for about a hour and a half.
The crash was reported about 10:22am on Tuesday June 15, 2021. The vehicles was traveling on the southbound Interstate 15 transition ramp to southbound I-215 just before Devore Road exit. The cab of the truck ended up in the dirt off of the shoulder of the transition ramp while the trailer blocked two lanes of traffic, forcing authorities to close the lanes for a time.
No injuries were reported at the scene. The accident temporarily blocked the #2 and the slow lane as they worked to move the vehicle to the shoulder and for Caltrans to sweep the lanes.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
