CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters were able to put out the fire before it spread to the trailer in the Cajon Pass on Saturday morning.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a older blue Chevy Silverado pulling a 5th wheel travel trailer on fire. The vehicle was located northbound I-15 about a mile after Kenwood Avenue exit, about 10:18am on Saturday June 26, 2021.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane, while they worked on getting the pickup truck fire put out. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
