BARSTOW, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol say a male driver is dead as a result of his injuries from a rollover crash and a female driver and passenger in a different vehicle on Wednesday morning on Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol and Barstow Fire Department responded to the incident.  From reports, a tan Buick sedan was traveling on southbound Interstate 15. For unknown reasons it lost control, hit the center divider and rolled over multiple times and landed on the northbound I-15 side in the fast lane. The 85 year-old male driver of the Buick was ejected from the vehicle and also landed on the northbound side in the #1 lane. The crash occurred at about 7:11am on Northbound I-15 before L Street on July 7, 2021.

A passing vehicle going northbound had hit the rolled over vehicle and ended up with major damage from the crash. End results the 31-year-old female driver of the Toyota Rav4 and a 4-year-old girl passenger were both killed. A 10-year-old girl passenger sustained minor injuries. She was flown by Mercy Air to Loma Linda University Medical Center for to be check out.

CHP had to block all lanes for the investigation at 7:18am, while they collected evidence and waiting for the coroner to arrive at the scene.

The collision will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Barstow Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
