CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A small brush fire broke out in the Blue Cut area of the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon.
This fire was reported at about 4:14pm Tuesday, July 13, 2021. Located between Cajon Blvd. (Route 66) and Interstate 15 below the Blue Cut area. US Forest Service, CAL FIRE, and San Bernardino County Fire Department firefighters were quickly on scene. At 4:38pm the fire has been stopped at about a 50 foot x 50 foot spot burned. Firefighters will remain in the area for mop-up operations for about a hour to make sure no hot spots flare up. No road or lane closures during the fire fight.
CHP stated on the traffic log, they had a male suspect who started the fire in custody. The cause of the fire is under investigation. The fire is dubbed the Greenwood Fire.
