CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A car caught fire on southbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Tuesday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were getting calls of a sedan on fire. The vehicle was located at the Kenwood Avenue exit on the right shoulder. The car fire happened on July 20, 2021, about 12:56pm. The vehicle on fire was reported to be a Honda Accord. California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out and for the smoke blowing across the freeway.
Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time.
