CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One child was killed and two other passengers were airlifted with critical injuries after a single-vehicle rollover crash. Sunday on northbound Interstate 15 just before Oak Hill Road, causing the freeway to be shut down for hours, officials said.

California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the crash. There were reported to be single vehicle that rolled over multiple times. One person reported to be a young boy was ejected from the car and was lying on the ground. The car involved was reported to be a dark blue or black Honda Accord 4 door sedan. The crash happened at about 12:59pm Sunday August 1, 2021. Northbound Interstate 15 just before the Oak Hill Road exit.

A total of five people were reported to be in the Honda. The driver and front passenger were reported to be okay but shooken up. The boy that was ejected was reported to be airlifted by Mercy Air 22 and an adult female was airlifted by Reach Air Medical #43 to Loma Linda University Medical Center. One girl was transported by ground ambulance to a local hospital all three were reported to be in serious conditions.

CHP reported minutes later one child has been declared deceased on arrival at the hospital. CHP had temporarily blocked the #3 and the # 4 for a couple of hours for the investigation. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office. Please check for updates on this incident.

Update the baby girl has been identified as Ehlani Barraza from Salinas California. Denise Castro the childs mother, has launched a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral expenses.
