OAK HILLS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A GoFundMe page has been established to help the grieving family of a 4-month-old girl that was killed in a rollover crash at the top of the Cajon Pass as authorities continue the investigation.
The baby girl has been identified as Ehlani Barraza from Salinas California. Denise Castro the childs mother, has launched a GoFundMe to help cover the funeral expenses.
We were coming home from a road trip to visit family from Yuma Arizona, where family met Ehlani for the first time. They were on their way back to Salinas. A total of five people were traveling northbound on Interstate 15 just before Oak Hill Road about 12:59pm Sunday, August 1, 2021. Denise and her husband were in the front seats. The Grandmother, a 7 year-old-boy, and Ehlani were in the back seats. When their Honda Accord reportedly hit a big rig, causing their vehicle to lose control and rollover multiple times. This caused both children to be ejected from the car.
Update on the two people rushed by two helicopters to Loma Linda University Medical Center. The 7-year-old boy suffered a broken leg and the Grandmother suffered a concussion.
The GoFundMe page setup for Ehlani is to cover the funeral expenses.
