VICTORVILLE, CA, (Pain In The Pass) >> Driver in a 4 door sedan lost control from southbound Interstate 15, rolled over and landing on Amargosa Road upside down. A vehicle heading north on Amargosa crashed into the upside down sedan. This caused traffic backup due to looky loos people on the freeway Tuesday afternoon.

California Highway Patrol and Victorville City Fire Department received calls of a cream/tan color sedan that had rolled over onto the side road next to the freeway. Landing on Amargosa in front of Ashley Furniture then was crashed into by another car. The accident happened at about 12:50pm on August 10, 2021. From what the CHP traffic log stated, the cream/tan car was speeding and recklessly driving prior to the crash. The driver was injured and was transported to a local hospital in unknown condition.

CHP reported about 50 feet of chain link fence that separates the freeway and Amargosa Rd. was damaged. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office. Additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
