HELENDALE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A GoFundMe campaign has been launched in the name of the 28-year-old man killed in a rollover car crash Tuesday October 12. On southbound Interstate 15 just after Wild Wash Road exit.
As of Friday afternoon, more than $23,000 had been donated.
Uli Mason Chavez a resident of Hesperia was driving southbound on I-15 in a 2019 Nissan and for unknown reasons, he lost control of the Nissan. This caused the vehicle to rollover and come to rest in the #1 lane and #2 lane. After the Nissan came to rest, seconds later two drivers in separate traffic lanes were unable to avoid the Nissan sitting in the lanes. Both collided into the Nissan and Uli Mason was pronounced deceased at the scene.
Chavez, Guerrero, and Taksas families have made a Go Fund Me account to cover funeral expenses.
