CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A vehicle crashed between the big rig tractor and the first set of trailers (set of doubles). This left the vehicle wedged and stuck underneath the trailer, according to responding emergency crews.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. It was reported at about 8am, Tuesday November 23, 2021. The crash was located on the northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before the Oak Hills Road exit. It was reported to be a two vehicle crash blocking the #4 and slow lane. A sliver Toyota Prius sedan reportedly lost control, hit the side of a passing big rig pulling a trailer. The Toyota was lodged under the trailer and was dragged for about a hundred feet as the driver of the big rig brought it to a stop in the slow lane.
Minor injuries were reported to the driver of the Toyota at the scene. The big rig driver was not injured. CHP had to issue a SIG-Alert for the slow lane for about an hour for the removal of the vehicle from the trailer.
This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Additional details were limited at this time.
