HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A motorcyclist was riding south on Summit Valley Road when he allegedly lost control of his bike and went under a motorhome pulling a trailer.
The crash was reported about 11:05am, Sunday November 28, 2021, on Summit Valley Rd. just before Highway 138. California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic accident. Reports from the CHP traffic log reported the motorcycle rider was laying underneath the motorhome. CHP and firefighters quickly called for a heavy duty tow truck so they can lift the motorhome off of the rider.
Firefighters rendered aid to the injured motorcyclist. From reports the male rider was breathing but not responding. Rescue crews requested a helicopter to transport the injured rider with unspecified injuries. The rider was transported by Mercy Air #22 from the scene to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center. The cause of this crash is unknown at this time.
It is unknown at this time what caused the motorcyclist to lose control of the bike. There was stopped traffic in the area on the road, due to Holiday traffic on the freeway. This crash is currently under investigation by the California Highway Patrol. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Please check back for updates on this incident.
