With the recent heavy rainfall, excess water was released to the Mojave River, which caused the water level to rise, according to Steve Tracy from SBCFD. Conditions in the river are expected to remain hazardous as more rainfall is predicted this week according to Tracy. He also urges commuters not to cross river beds with moving water flowing over. He says just to stop and turn around.
