Two Small Brush Fires In The Cajon Pass Sunday Afternoon

CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A total of two small brush fires broke out in the Cajon Pass Sunday afternoon.

All of the fires were reported at 12:49pm Sunday, January 2, 2022, both on northbound 15 about 2 miles after Highway 138 exit.

San Bernardino County Fire Department, and US Forest Service were getting calls of multiple small brush fires in the Cajon Pass. US Forest Service firefighters quickly were on scene. They ask California Highway Patrol to closed the slow lane as they work to extinguish the flames on both fires.

The forward rate of spread was quickly stopped and extinguished totaling approximately a quarter of a acre. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
