SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One man is dead after a vehicle slammed into the back of a semi-truck on Interstate 215 in downtown San Bernardino Sunday morning.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department were called to the scene at about 4am Sunday, February 13, 2022. The crash was located on northbound I-215 freeway near the Baseline Road exit in the middle lane. From the CHP traffic log report the semi was disabled in the middle lane and was struck by a blue sedan,unknown make or model, with two people trapped inside.
CHP and firefighters rendered aid to both victims. Minutes later they said the passenger was deceased at the scene. The driver of the vehicle was transported to a local hospital, later arrested on suspicion of DUI and refusing blood draw for BAC.
