RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was injured in a fiery crash in Rancho Cucamonga. The accident happened on southbound Interstate 15 after Foothill Boulevard, officials are looking into if it was a road rage incident.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from Rancho Cucamonga Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. The crash was reported at about 1:06pm, Thursday March 3, 2022. The location was on southbound I-15 between Foothill Blvd and 4th Street exits.
According to the California Highway Patrol a white or sliver Toyota Scion Tc and a gray Mitsubishi Lancer were speeding at a high rates of speed down the freeway after a water bottle was thrown from one of the vehicles.
Both vehicles ended up hitting each other, causing both vehicles to spinout and crash into the center divider. Everybody was able to get out safely and then began arguing. The Scion caught fire and fully engulfed before firefighters were on scene.
A young boy was a passenger in the Mitsubishi, hw was taken to a local hospital. He was conscious and bleeding from his head, but his current condition is not known.
CHP temporarily blocked the two left lanes for over an hour for the cleanup. Traffic was backed up to the 210 freeway.
Investigators are still working to figure out if the crash was intentional or if the drivers knew each other. No further details have been provided at this time.
