LLANO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A 48-year-old female Gina Jones and a 20-year-old male Philmillion Jones both from Palmdale were killed when her motorcycle crashed head-on into a pickup truck on Highway 18, authorities said.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the fatal traffic collision. The crash was reported at about 1:16pm, Sunday February 27, 2022. The traffic collision location was on eastbound Pearblossom Highway (Hwy 18) by the bridge over the train track, near 263rd Street in the town of Llano.

The Gina was driving a 2020 black Harley-Davidson motorcycle, with Philmillion has the passenger, on eastbound on Hwy 18, when “for an unknown reason the riders traveled over the double yellow lines into the westbound lane,” the CHP report states. The motorcyclists crashed head-on into a 2021 silver Toyota Tundra that was traveling westbound on Hwy 18, according to the CHP report.

CHP officials said Gina was pronounced dead at the scene and Philmillion was in critical condition. Firefighters requested a medical helicopter to transport to a local trauma center. (Lyrica) Los Angeles Sheriff Air Rescue Helicopter #5 landed on the highway to transport the him to Antelope Valley Hospital in critical condition. On Thursday March 10, Philmillion Jones was removed from life support and his organs will be donated.

The pickup truck’s driver and passenger only had minor injuries in the collision.
