JEAN, NV. (Pain In The Pass) >> A wrong way head-on crash sent two people to a hospital on Interstate-15 near the town of Jean Friday morning, according to Nevada State Police Highway Patrol.

Highway Patrol got a report of a blue Ford F-150 pickup going south in the northbound lanes at St. Rose Parkway around 2:46am Friday March 11, 2022. The Ford pickup traveled over 10 miles going the wrong way on northbound I-15.

The pickup crashed head-on with the big rig at mile marker 12, just north of Jean, causing the big rig to overturn and catch fire.

Both male drivers were taken to University Medical Center of Southern Nevada, with the driver of the pickup transported by medical helicopter. Their injuries are not believed to be life-threatening. No other passengers were in either vehicle.

The driver of the pickup truck is suspected of DUI and was later arrested. He remains hospitalized with injuries.

The northbound lanes reopened shortly before 10am.

This incident will be under investigation by the Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Office. Additional details were limited at this time.
