ONTARIO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> San Bernardino County Corner has identified the driver and passenger who were killed Saturday morning in a crash on Interstate 15 at the I-10 freeway Interchange.

The crash happened on the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 at the I-10 freeway about 3:07am Saturday March 12, 2022. California Highway Patrol said the black Tesla reportedly turned around and was traveling northbound on the southbound I-15 lanes near Cantu-Galleano Ranch Road (toll-road area). The driver drove about 8 miles in the fast lane and in the center divider before he crashed into a guardrail head-on.

The collision left the car upside down, with debris from the wreck showering the traffic lanes, even hitting at least three passing vehicles. When CHP and Ontario Fire Department arrive they located two people unconscious inside the vehicle that was reported to be split in half.

The driver killed in the crash was identified as a 24 year-old Jose Elizarraraz Bravo, and the passenger was identified as 29 year-old Luis Elizarraraz Bravo. Both were residents of Rialto.

It was not immediately clear whether drugs or alcohol were involved in the collision. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Office. No further details have been provided at this time.
