One Dead After Vehicle Crashes Into Back Of Big Rig On I-15 In Fontana

FONTANA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A sedan driver was killed after the vehicle slammed into the back of a big rig tractor trailer on Interstate 15 in Fontana.

The crash happened just before 2:53am Friday March 18, 2022. The location was on the southbound side of Interstate 15, near the Duncan Canyon Road exit, according to the California Highway Patrol.

CHP and San Bernardino County firefighters rendered aid. Minutes later they said the driver was deceased at the scene.

A preliminary investigation determined the big rig was parked on the right shoulder of the freeway when for unknown reasons, the driver veered off the freeway and into the back of the big rig.

It’s unknown if alcohol/drugs may have been a factor in this crash. No further details have been provided at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Rancho Cucamonga Office. Please check for updates on this incident.
