Resurfacing Bridge Work In San Bernardino On Interstate 15 And I-215 This Week

SAN BERNARDINO, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) continues work on a $4.2 million bridge resurfacing project on Interstate 15 and Interstate 215. The project spans from Ontario at Jurupa Street to the Oak Hill Road overcrossing in Hesperia on the I-15, and on the I-215 in San Bernardino from University Parkway to Palm Avenue. The contractor will be performing bridge deck resurfacing and joint seal replacement.

Weeknight closures: Beginning Friday, May 13 through Friday, May 20

• Interstate 215 – North and Southbound – 10pm. to 6am. Expect 1 lane to be closed and shoulder closures between University Parkway and Palm Ave. in both directions.

• Interstate 15 – North and Southbound – 10pm. to 4am. Up to three lanes will be closed, with one lane remaining open, between Glen Helen Parkway to 15/215 split in both directions.

Weekend closure: Friday, May 13 to Sunday, May 15

• Interstate 15 – North and Southbound – 10pm. to 10am. nightly. Up to three lanes will be closed, with one lane remaining open, between Glen Helen Parkway and 15/215 split in both directions.

Weekend closure: Friday, May 20 to Sunday, May 22

• Interstate 15 – North and Southbound – 10pm. to 10am. nightly. Up to three lanes will be closed, with one lane remaining open, between Glen Helen Parkway and 15/215 split in both directions.

Motorists are advised to plan ahead and use the side street as a detour to avoid the closures and major delays. Add extra time to your trip during the work hours.

The project is expected to be complete in middle of 2022. Schedules are subject to change or pick the side of the freeway, or due to inclement weather or construction issues.
