HESPERIA, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Firefighters made significant progress Sunday morning containing a structure/commercial building on fire that turned into a small brush fire that was probably ignited by fireworks early Sunday morning.
The fire was reported at about 1:30am Sunday, July 17, 2022. San Bernardino County Fire Department, Apple Valley Fire Department, and CAL Fire firefighters were quickly on scene. The fire was reported to be located off of El Cajon Lane in Hesperia.
The fire burned about 5 acres of brush and mulch piles in new development project of homes. Firefighters contained the blaze 4 hours later. Neighbors reported hearing fireworks in the area prior to the fire. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
