APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A three vehicle head-on collision that killed a passenger in the Subaru that hit the red semi and another car on Bear Valley Road.
California Highway Patrol, Apple Valley Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving three vehicles. The crash took place at about 12:46pm Wednesday August 17, 2022. The location was on Bear Valley Rd near Tujunga Drive.
The vehicles involved were a red Robertson’s set of double-trailer, a silver Subaru Forester, and a black Mazda 3 sedan.
Rescue crews arrived and found four patients and one deceased at the scene. They requested two medical helicopters to transport two victims. The driver of the Robertson’s truck was extricated and transported by Mercy Air #22 at the scene to Loma Linda University Medical Center in stable condition. The driver of the Subaru was transported by CHP #82 helicopter to Arrowhead Regional Medical Center in critical condition. Two other were transported by ambulance to a local hospital in unknown conditions.
From reports the passenger of the Subaru was deceased at the scene.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Victorville Office.
