CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A white Hyundai Tiburon sport car spun-out and crash into the center divider guardrail on northbound Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic collision involving one vehicle. The crash was reported at about 2:13pm, Thursday August 18, 2022. The location was about 2 miles after Highway 138 exit on northbound I-15.
For reasons still under investigation the male driver of the Hyundai lost control, spun out and hit the guardrail in the drivers door.
Emergency crews said one person in the white Hyundai Tiburon had major injuries and was transported by ambulance to a local hospital.
The two left lanes were blocked for about a hour. Caltrans stated about 10 feet of guardrail was damage.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP said additional information will be updated as it becomes available. Details were limited at this time.
