STATELINE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person were pronounced deceased after San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to a three-vehicle collision on northbound Interstate 15 Thursday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters responded to the traffic crash. It was reported at about 3:51pm, Friday August 19, 2021. The crash was located on northbound Interstate 15 just after Yates Will Road exit. The two left lanes were blocked for hours for the investigation. From what CHP traffic log stated a the vehicles involved were a sliver Nissan Maxima with major front end damage, a gray unknown make and model sedan with heavy front end damage. The third vehicle was reported to be Maroon Jeep Cherokee with rear end damage.
Firefighters rendered aid to the people involved in the crash and reported one person deceased at the scene. They requested one medical helicopter to transport one victim and one ambulance. The other victim was reported to be a child and was transported by ambulance to a nearby hospital in unknown condition.
Mercy Air #7 landed at the scene and flown the victim to Las Vegas University Medical Center in unknown condition.
CHP have not released a cause of the crash and did not identify the victim at this time. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available.
