APPLE VALLEY, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> An investigation is underway after one person was killed in a rollover crash on northbound Interstate 15 Monday afternoon.
California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the solo vehicle crash. The collision was reported at about 12:13pm, Monday August 22, 2022. Located on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile before Wild Wash Road exit.
A preliminary investigation indicates that a green BMW 3 Series convertible was traveling north when the driver lost control, hit the dirt embankment then rolled over and landed on its wheels on the right shoulder of freeway. After the impact the BMW burst into flames. The driver was ejected from the vehicle and was pronounced deceased at the scene.
CHP has not released a cause of the crash and did not identify the victim at this time. We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s accident report is available.
