CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A white Volkswagen ID.4 electric SUV caught fire on Monday afternoon in the Cajon Pass spark a small brush fire.

California Highway Patrol, CAL FIRE, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and San Bernardino National Forest firefighters were getting calls of a SUV fire. The vehicle was located on northbound Interstate 15 about a mile after Highway 138 exit on right shoulder.

The SUV fire happened on Monday about 12:26pm November 14, 2022. California Highway Patrol and firefighters were on the scene and had to temporarily shut down the #4 and the slow lane while they worked on getting the vehicle fire put out and nearby brush.

Traffic backup quickly and firefighters had the fire out in about a half of a hour. Everybody did escape the vehicle before it became fully engulfed. No injuries were reported at the scene. The cause of the vehicle fire is unknown at this time. The flame were coming out of the back of the SUV.
