PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A solo vehicle crash on Highway 138 Wednesday afternoon in Phelan.
The crash happened about 2:37pm Wednesday November 23, 2022. The location was about a mile from Interstate 15 at the sharp turn of the highway. The crash was on the Hesperia side of Hwy 138.
California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to crash. They located a silver Honda Accord sedan with major damage to the front-end. A witness stated the Honda was traveling way too fast to negotiate the sharp curve, and crashed into the guardrail.
For reasons still under investigation, the vehicle lost control and hit the guardrail. The vehicle was the only one involved in the crash. The incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office. CHP says additional information will be updated as it becomes available.
