CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Two pickup truck crashed turning into a fiery collision on northbound Interstate 15 in the Cajon Pass Sunday night according to California Highway Patrol.

California Highway Patrol, San Bernardino County Fire Department, and firefighters from San Bernardino National Forest responded to a pickup truck on fire. The collision was reported at about 5pm, Sunday November 27, 2022 on northbound Interstate 15 about two miles after Highway 138 exit. The two pickup trucks involved according to the CHP traffic log were a Ford truck and a white Dodge Ram truck.

From what the CHP traffic log stated, both pickup trucks lost control, at an unknown speed. The Dodge veered to the right shoulder and rolled-over and started to catch fire. The Ford went off right shoulder as well and stopped near the Dodge truck. Everybody was able to get out of the Dodge before it became fully engulfed.

The flames from the Dodge sparked causing nearby brush to catch fire. The Ford truck was parked near the brush and also caught fire.

Both trucks reported to burn fully and a total loss.

We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol San Bernardino Office.
