PHELAN, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Coroner said 35-year-old Meiying Ma was killed, 3 injured in a T-bone crash on Highway 138 Friday morning.

The crash happened at about 11:06am Friday November 25, 2022. The location of the collision was at the intersection of Highway 138 and Lone Pine Canyon Road about two miles away from Interstate 15.

California Highway Patrol, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the crash. They located a gold Nissan Altima sedan with major passenger side damage and a white Toyota Sequoia SUV with major damage to the front-end.

CHP believes the gold Nissan sedan was heading west on Hwy 138 turning on Lone Pine Canyon Road, while the white Toyota SUV was heading east towards Interstate 15. The Nissan was struck by the Toyota.

Rescue crews requested one medical helicopter to transport the child victim of the Nissan and two ground ambulances for the victims of the Toyota. The child was transported by Mercy Air #22 at the scene and was flown to Loma Linda University Medical Center in moderate injuries. The driver of the Toyota and a passenger were both transported by ground ambulance to a nearby hospital in minor condition. It was reported five children were in the Toyota and one in the Nissan.

Due to the extent of injuries sustained, medics pronounced Ma the driver of the Nissan deceased at the scene. At this time no updates on the child that was airlifted.
