MOUNTAIN PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >>A driver and a passenger both in critical condition after they were both ejected from their vehicle following a rollover crash Sunday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 3:10pm Sunday December 11, 2022. The location of the crash was on northbound Interstate 15 about two miles before Nipton Road in the Mountain Pass area near Stateline.. California Highway Patrol, Clark County Fire Department, and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving a white Jeep Wrangler and a unknown sedan.

The road may have been wet at the time of the collision. The driver and the passenger of the Jeep were both ejected from the vehicle and reportedly landed in traffic lanes from the CHP traffic log stated.

Rescue crews requested two medical helicopters to transport the driver and passenger. Do to weather conditions there was only one airship. One person was transported by Mercy Air #7 helicopter from near the scene to Las Vegas University Medical Center in critical condition. The other person was rushed over by ground ambulance in serious condition to a local trauma center.

Update the driver did succumb to his injuries at the hospital.
