BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed and nearly a dozen passengers were injured after the bus they were riding in overturned and ejected several passenger out of the bus on Interstate 15 Tuesday night.

The crash happened at about 11:32pm Tuesday December 13, 2022. The location of the crash was on southbound Interstate 15 about two miles before Razor Road near the town of Baker. California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash involving a passenger bus.

Officials say the bus was carrying 20 people went off the right shoulder of Interstate 15, overturned, landed on it wheels, and ejecting multiple people from inside. 

Rescue crews requested multiple medical helicopters and several ambulances to transport the passengers.

One person was pronounced deceased at the scene, three others sustained critical injuries, two had moderate injuries and six people had minor injuries. The rest of the passengers were okay.

At this point, it’s not known why the bus veered off the road. The driver may have some kind of medical issue or fell asleep.
