VICTORVILLE, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> California Highway Patrol say a man was killed when he was ejected from his car during a crash on I-15 in Victorville Sunday afternoon.

CHP and Victorville Fire Department received calls of a crash. It was reported on southbound Interstate 15 just after the Mojave Drive exit. The crash happened at about 3:12pm Sunday January 15, 2023.

From reports from the CHP traffic log, the vehicles involved in the crash was a white Ford F-250 pick-up truck with minor passenger side damage. The second vehicle was a dark maroon colored Lexus ES series sedan with heavy front-end and driver side damage.

Witnesses stated on the CHP traffic log the Lexus driver was speeding, cutting in and out of traffic lanes as far back as Fields Road prior to this crash. 

Also a witness stated the Lexus hit the Ford pick-up truck cause the driver of the Lexus to lose control and hit the center divider head on. That is when the driver of the Lexus was ejected from his car during a crash.

The crash shut down two southbound lanes of the interstate for at least two hours.
