BAKER, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> One person was killed in a two-vehicle head-on collision on northbound Interstate 15 Saturday evening near the town of Baker.

California Highway Patrol and firefighters from San Bernardino County Fire Department responded to the traffic crash. The collision was reported at about 6:09pm, Saturday February 11, 2023. The head-on crash location was on northbound I-15 about two miles after the Midway Rest Area, blocking the fast lane.

A Cadillac SUV reportedly collided head-on with a unknown vehicle in unclear circumstances at this time. One vehicle was headed southbound drove through the center median and collide into a vehicle headed northbound.

Firefighters rendered aid to all the people involved in the crash. Rescue crews requested two helicopters to transport with serious injuries. Mercy Air 66 Helicopter landed at the scene, flew a person to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition. The second helicopter was CHP #80 which landed at the scene. CHP #80 flew the second person to Sunrise Hospital Medical Center in Las Vegas in critical condition. A child was transported to a nearby hospital, later died from there injuries. No news or condition of the other people involved is unknown.
