CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> Icy and rain-slicked roads up and down the Cajon Pass led to multiple crashes and spin-outs on Interstate 15 Thursday morning.
The worst crash of the morning was a SUV that spun-out of control and rolled over on southbound Interstate 215 at the 15 split near Devore. This accident happen Thursday February 23, 2023 about 9:43am just before Devore Road on southbound 15. California Highway Patrol said 5 people were inside the SUV. On the traffic log reported three people with major lacerations to there heads and two babies in there car seats were okay.
CHP reported dozens of spinout this morning. “Roads across the Cajon Pass are in poor condition. Please pay attention and drive accordingly. Don’t put yourself or others in danger attempting to speed to your destination and leave extra space between you the car in front of you,” CHP said.
Remember turn on your headlights on the rain. It’s the law to have your headlights on when the windshield wipers are in use.
