CAJON PASS, CA. (Pain In The Pass) >> A two vehicle rollover crash on Interstate 15 sent one person to the hospital.
California Highway Patrol and San Bernardino Fire Department received calls of a collision on northbound I-15 just before Cleghorn Road exit. The crash happened at about 1:24pm Tuesday on February 28, 2023.
The vehicles involved in the crash were reported on the CHP traffic log as, a white GMC Yukon with major front-end damage and rolled over on its roof. The second vehicle was a white Honda HR-V with some minor front-end damage. Both vehicles were blocking the two right lanes.
When rescue teams arrived they located both vehicles upside down. Rescue crews requested one ambulance to the scene. One person was transported with non-life-threatening injuries. All lanes were reopened after about a half an hour. Traffic was backed up all the way down to Kenwood Ave exit at one point.
We will update this story with more information when the CHP’s preliminary accident report is available. Additional details were limited at this time. This incident will be under investigation by the California Highway Patrol Inland Office.
